The Ophthalmic Technician facilitates patient flow and assists ophthalmologists by performing preliminary diagnostic testing and recording patient data. They are responsible for maintaining exam rooms, verifying insurance, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the patient visit.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience or training. Strong customer service skills, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to travel between office locations are required.

This employee is able to handle a wide range of duties while using equipment to perform the initial testing needed to prepare a patient for an exam with an Ophthalmologist.
