Job DetailsJob Location: FMU - Miami Gardens, FL 33054The Manager of International Student Enrollment provides leadership and coordination for programs, services, and compliance activities that support the success, engagement, and wellbeing of international students. This position fosters a welcoming, inclusive, and globally aware campus community while ensuring institutional compliance with federal immigration regulations. The Manager collaborates across Student Affairs departments to enhance the international student experience. The individual is a member of the Division of Student Affairs staff reporting to the Director of Admissions and Recruitment.
Essential Functions
Enrollment Support
Serve as the primary resource and advocate for international students, offering guidance on immigration regulations, academic progress, personal adjustment, and cultural transition. Advise students on maintaining legal status (F-l visa), SEVIS compliance, employment authorizations (CPT/OPT), and other immigration-related processes. Develop and lead new international student orientation programs and ongoing workshops addressing cultural adaptation, academic success, and wellness. Connect students with campus and community resources, including academic support, housing, healthcare, and leadership development opportunities. Provide enrollment support to enrollment management for international student enrollment processes. Assist in the coordination of activities for international student onboarding. Maintain knowledge in programs offered, understand admissions procedures and policies, utilize professional communication to enroll and maintain future students. Explain admission requirements and enrollment procedures to interested students and parents. Coordinates participate, or travel to in-person and virtual promotional activities, including high school presentations, campus tours, college fairs, or special events to present programs to prospective both domestic and international students. Collaboratively consult with campus leadership to plan and implement recruitment strategies. Build, maintain and establish relationships throughout assigned territories. Monitors application progress and audits student records to ensure accuracy of completion of application materials. Reviews progress, evaluate results, implements new processes, and promotes best practices.
Compliance and Administrations
Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) for SEVIS, ensuring full compliance with U.S. Department of Homeland Security regulations. Maintain accurate international student records and ensure timely SEVIS reporting. Develop, review, and implement institutional policies and procedures related to international student enrollment and compliance. Prepare reports and data analyses to support institutional planning and accreditation processes.
Collaboration and Campus Partnerships
Work closely with Admissions and Enrollment Management to support the international recruitment pipeline and facilitate smooth onboarding for new students. Partner with Academic Advising, Faculty, and Retention initiatives to promote academic achievement and persistence among international students. Build relationships with community organizations, local cultural centers, and alumni networks to strengthen external support for international students. Collaborate with the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership to achieve global and intercultural initiatives across campus.

Manage, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks/projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment. Moderate physical activity. Requires handling objects of average weight up to fifty (50) pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with students in higher education. Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours.
