Position Summary:
Is a key member of the Triad Adult and Pediatric Medicine, Inc. (TAPM) Clinic Management Team (CMT). This position works with the Nursing Director, Practice Administrator and Lead Provider to provide administrative leadership to the site/office clinical team. Under administrative review, provides preliminary leadership in the overall administrative direction and coordination for policies, procedures, and programs at the clinical site. Jointly accountable with other members of the clinic management team for the management of clinical and financial resources in order to achieve patient outcome, as well as to promote professional development and coordination of the TAPM clinical staff.
Provides first-line leadership, supervision, and coordination for nursing and clinical services at a specific TAPM site; serves as an administrative and clinical resource to clinical staff; assists with effective management practice of all staff and material resources in order to achieve the highest quality patient care; provides direct nursing services in the clinical setting and in specialty clinics as assigned.
Essential Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
Supervise, mentor, and support nursing and clinical staff.
Develop daily staff assignments and coordinate nursing schedules based on provider schedules and clinic needs.
Participate in the Clinic Management Team (CMT) and assist with clinic operations and resource management.
Coordinate orientation, training, competency assessments, and performance evaluations for nursing staff.
Ensure compliance with nursing protocols, clinical standards, and quality initiatives.
Provide administrative support while maintaining regular direct patient care responsibilities.
Float to other TAPM sites as needed to support staffing needs.
Clinical Care
Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration, immunizations, venipuncture, wound care, specimen collection, catheterizations, and other clinical procedures.
Perform telephone and walk-in triage, prioritizing patient care based on clinical need.
Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries.
Support chronic disease management and multidisciplinary care planning.
Prepare patients for visits by obtaining vital signs, documenting chief complaints, and ensuring complete medical records.
Coordinate referrals, laboratory testing, diagnostic results, and patient follow-up.
Maintain exam room readiness, clinical supplies, and infection control standards.
Ensure accurate documentation, charge capture, and patient confidentiality.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in North Carolina (BSN preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
Current CPR, Venipuncture, and IV certifications.
Valid North Carolina driver's license.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and computer skills.
Experience in ambulatory care, primary care, or an FQHC environment preferred.
TAPM is an FQHC that provides comprehensive healthcare with compassion and respect to our community.
