Job Summary:
The Office of Student Leadership & Engagement (OSLE) provides support to the CSUSB clubs and student organizations, fraternity and sorority life, and leadership programs. OSLE and Leadership Lab Student Assistant will support the front office administrative staff providing service to students, staff, faculty, and off campus guests. The position will provide programmatic support to the above mentioned programs and support operations of the Leadership Lab for CSUSB students and student organizations.
Under the lead work direction of the Administrative Support Staff in the Office of Student Engagement, the student assistant will have the following specific and on-going responsibilities and duties:
•Answer and direct incoming phone calls •Check/respond to voicemails •Check/respond to emails •Filing •Scheduling meetings and support staff calendars •Organizing/cleaning •Supply and promotional item inventory •Develop/maintain basic spreadsheets and data entry •On-campus deliveries •Coyote Connection (Engage) website support •Marketing/advertising •Creating flyers and posters •Representing department at events, tabling, presentations, etc. •On campus banking support •Peer leadership consulting and advising •Social Media platform content creation and support e.g. Instagram and TikTok •Assist with events and programs e.g. student leadership recognition events, developmental workshops, club fairs, guest speaking engagements, etc •Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Responsibilities:
Under direct supervision and under the lead work direction of support staff, duties include but not limited to: - Answer phones and check/respond to voicemails - Emails - Filing - Schedule meetings and support staff calendars - Organizing/cleaning - Supply and promotional item inventory - Data entry - Develop and maintain spreadsheets - On-campus deliveries - Coyote Connection (Engage) website support - Marketing/advertising; creating flyers/posters, tabling, presentations, etc. - On campus banking support - Peer leadership consulting / advising - Social Media platform support e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter - Assist with department programs e.g. receptions, food drives, large scale events, etc - Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
Special Qualification: Admission or registration as a CSU student.
Required Qualifications:
Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or greater per semester and cumulative.
Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate)
International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB. (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate)
Eligible to work in the United States

Compensation and Benefits:
Student Employment Anticipated Hiring Range: $16.90 per hour.
The compensation offered will consider internal equity and experience among other factors.
Position Information:
Work status: Part-Time, Temporary, Seasonal
Academic year available hours: Monday through Friday (8:00 am – 5:00 pm).
Summer available hours: Monday through Thursday (7:00 am - 5:30 pm).

This is an 'On-Campus Only' position. Student Employees are not eligible to telecommute at any time.
