Supervise the Health Information Management Services division, overseeing staff in Imaging Services, Release of Information, and Duplicate Numbering. Ensure the security and quality of health information while managing productivity, performance metrics, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Requires at least an Associate's degree in Health Information Technology or a related field and AHIMA certification (RHIA or RHIT). Candidates must have 1-3 years of HIMS experience, though 5 years of supervisory experience in a related health field can substitute for certification.
Responsible for the supervision of the staff of the Health Information Management Services division of ECU Health. Responsible for the oversight of the staff that includes Imaging Services and Release of Information and Duplicate Number staff. Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager of Operations and Director. Serves as back-up for the Manager of HIMS Service Lines. This position is predominantly onsite, providing opportunities for direct interaction and collaboration with colleagues. Remote work will be minimal and only required under specific circumstances.
