The Patient Care Representative II acts as a liaison between patients, families, and hospital staff to coordinate care and ensure safety requirements are met. They are responsible for verifying patient care orders and providing support services to address patient needs.
Candidates must have an associate degree or equivalent administrative work experience and a minimum of three years of experience in a healthcare setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a basic understanding of medical terminology are preferred.
The Patient Care Representative II serves as a liaison between patients and their families to ensure services provided are correct based on identified patient care orders, as well as, working closely with hospital staff to ensure support services address the needs of, and overall coordination of care for the patient is completed to ensure patient safety and satisfaction requirements are met.
- Require an associate degree; relevant administrative work experience can be substituted on a year-for-year basis in lieu of the required degree.
- Require a minimum of three (3) years of administrative work experience preferably in a hospital or outpatient healthcare setting.
- Prefer demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to effectively use commonly known computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
- Prefer demonstrated basic understanding of medical terminology.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to perform public speaking when needed.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to work independently without direct supervision.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
