Overview Support daily hospital operations by coordinating patient admissions, staff scheduling, payroll, and nursing resources. Serve as a key administrative partner to nursing leadership by maintaining records, organizing educational programs, managing contracts, and ensuring accurate staffing based on patient needs. Help create an efficient and organized healthcare environment while maintaining confidentiality and supporting quality patient care.
Schedules and coordinates nursing service personnel (float pool, sitters, shift coordinators)
Maintains staff scheduling data and provides education to new nursing leaders
Calculates nursing time sheets and submits to payroll.
Monitors entries into payroll software. Approves time cards
Contributes to cost reduction efforts by assisting Directors to review staffing levels with regard to patient census
Schedules meetings, takes minutes as requested, and provides general secretarial support.
Maintains, updates, and distributes nursing policies and procedures.
Schedules and prepares course materials for educational programs. Submits completed course materials to appropriate agency.
Coordinates agency nursing contracts, scheduling and reconciling payments
Inputs data for statistical information and reports.
Maintains confidentiality of personnel records/discussions and of patient information.
Maintains personnel files for nursing support staff
Contributes to cost reduction efforts by assisting Directors to review staffing levels with regard to patient census
Prepares, maintains, and distributes patient totes to units
Maintains and updates MD call schedule
Prepares and distributes calendars for conference rooms G206 and G210
Registers and scores personnel for Mercy Learning Center
