The Coder I is responsible for assigning accurate ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes to patient health information for claims processing and data analysis. This includes interpreting physician documentation and collaborating with doctors to clarify ambiguous records.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be a graduate of a program in the discipline. A Certified Coder certification is required along with the ability to work independently in a stressful environment.
