Help People Become Stronger, Healthier, and More Confident
The Exercise Coach Winston-Salem is looking for a dependable, personable, and organized Part-Time Fitness Coach to join our growing team.
You do not need to be an experienced personal trainer. We can teach you our exercise system through comprehensive paid training. What matters most to us is dependability, a willingness to learn, strong people skills, organization, and the initiative to solve problems.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people, building meaningful relationships, and contributing to a positive team environment. Relevant experience could come from fitness, customer service, healthcare, education, hospitality, athletics, administration, or another people-focused role.
What You’ll Do
Coach clients one-on-one through safe, effective, technology-based strength-training sessions
Build positive relationships and help clients feel comfortable, supported, and encouraged
Learn each client’s goals and help them recognize their progress
Maintain accurate client notes and complete routine administrative responsibilities
Keep the studio clean, organized, and ready for clients
Assist with introductory sessions for prospective clients
Explain our programs and help prospective clients choose the right option
Work collaboratively with the coaching team to provide an exceptional client experience
Who We’re Looking For
Our ideal candidate is:
Dependable, punctual, and professional
Friendly and comfortable talking with a wide variety of people
Organized and attentive to details
Coachable and eager to learn
Proactive and willing to solve problems
Comfortable balancing coaching, client service, administrative work, and membership conversations
Interested in health, fitness, and helping people improve their quality of life
Able to work independently while contributing to a team
Previous fitness, coaching, customer service, or sales experience is helpful, but it is not required. A fitness-related degree or personal-training certification is also not required.
Schedule and Availability
This position offers approximately 10–20 hours per week, with a guaranteed minimum of 10 hours. Most shifts are approximately four hours.
We have opportunities for both morning and afternoon availability, although afternoon and closing (7 pm) coverage remains our greatest need. Candidates with primarily morning availability may still be considered. Applicants should clearly indicate the days and times they are consistently available.
Rotating Saturday availability from 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., approximately one to two days per month, is expected.
We will work with the right candidate to create a consistent schedule within our operating hours:
Monday–Friday: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Sunday: Closed
Hours may increase as the studio continues to grow.
Training, Pay, and Benefits
Starting pay of $18–$20 per hour, based on relevant experience
Comprehensive paid training
Company-paid CPR/AED certification
Guaranteed minimum of 10 hours per week
Opportunity for additional hours as the studio grows
Upcoming professional certification and development opportunities
Team-based performance bonuses
Free studio membership
Discounts on studio products (supplements and nutritional products)
Uniforms provided
No late-night gym hours
All required training must be completed before coaching clients independently.
