We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Referral Coordinator to join our healthcare team. In this part-time role, you will be an essential advocate for our patients by coordinating specialty referrals, obtaining insurance authorizations, and helping ensure timely access to the care and medications they need.
What You’ll Do
Coordinate and process specialty referrals from start to finish while ensuring timely follow-up and accurate documentation. Obtain and manage medication prior authorizations with insurance carriers to support patient access to prescribed treatments. Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, specialists, pharmacies, and insurance companies to coordinate patient care. Monitor referral and authorization statuses, resolve barriers to care, and communicate updates to patients and care teams. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with organizational policies, payer requirements, and HIPAA regulations. Provide exceptional customer service by responding professionally to patient and provider inquiries.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and customer service abilities. Knowledge of referrals, insurance verification, and prior authorization processes is preferred. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
