The representative is responsible for investigating and resolving payment issues and reconciling cash processing within the revenue cycle enterprise. This includes reviewing explanation of benefits, utilizing payor portals, and ensuring accurate posting of payments and adjustments to patient accounts.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and proficiency in Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Excel, and Access. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business and experience with Epic EDI or medical billing is preferred.
Summary
The Payment Research Representative is responsible for proper handling and reconciliation of payments received throughout the Jefferson Revenue Cycle Enterprise. Working closely with Payment Representatives, Accounting and Finance, the Payment Research Rep will investigate and resolve issues impacting cash processing and reconciliation.
