The Workday Product Owner will lead the strategic direction, roadmap, and governance of the Workday platform across the enterprise. They will prioritize the backlog and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure the platform supports organizational goals and data integrity.
Requirements
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in product management or ownership and 3 years of specific experience with Workday. A bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field is required.
Full job description
Truliant’s mission is to improve lives by putting our members first, providing great service and straightforward financial solutions. Our core values of Member Focus, Service, Guidance, Relationships, and Community define how we interact with members to fulfill our mission of improving lives and providing a foundation on which we conduct ourselves.
Our Promise to Our Teammates: Truliant strives to provide all teammates with an enjoyable place to work where they feel valued, empowered and rewarded for all that they do.
Why this role matters
At Truliant Federal Credit Union, Workday is more than a system. It is a platform that helps teams across Human Resources, Learning, Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and other business areas work more connectedly, make thoughtful decisions, and support the organization with confidence.
As the Workday Product Owner, you will help shape how the platform grows, how priorities are balanced, and how Workday investments support Truliant’s broader business goals. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing people together, creating clarity from competing needs, and turning enterprise technology into meaningful business value.
What you’ll do
In this role, you’ll serve as the enterprise product owner for Workday and guide the platform’s strategic direction, roadmap, backlog, and governance. You’ll partner closely with business leaders, IT, domain administrators, PMO resources, and enterprise governance groups to ensure Workday remains a cohesive, well-governed platform that supports current needs while preparing for what’s next.
Day to day, you’ll:
Own and prioritize a single enterprise Workday backlog, balancing requests across multiple business functions and aligning decisions to organizational priorities.
Partner with stakeholders to define roadmap direction, resolve cross-domain dependencies, and communicate platform priorities, release impacts, and trade-offs clearly.
Support adoption, stability, data integrity, and platform value by guiding Workday features, products, and enhancements through established governance standards.
Beyond that, your work will include helping Truliant get the most from Workday by connecting business outcomes, technical feasibility, risk, capacity, and long-term platform strategy.
What you bring
We’re looking for someone who can think enterprise-wide, build trust across business and technical teams, and make informed prioritization decisions in a complex platform environment. You’ll be successful here if you can translate business needs into practical platform priorities while keeping governance, stability, and user impact in view.
This role is a great fit if you have:
Required Experience:
5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or in a similar role operating in an Agile or product-centric environment.
3+ years of experience working with Workday in a product, platform, or governance capacity.
Experience with enterprise system roadmap planning and prioritization.
Experience working within governance and decision-making structures.
Required Skills:
Managing and prioritizing an enterprise platform backlog across competing business needs.
Translating business needs into platform-level priorities, roadmap decisions, and clear outcomes.
Collaborating with business, technical, and executive stakeholders to evaluate trade-offs, dependencies, risk, feasibility, and capacity.
Communicating platform priorities, roadmap updates, release impacts, and decisions in a clear and professional way.
Maintaining an enterprise-wide perspective rather than focusing on only one function or domain.
Understanding Workday architecture, cross-module data flows, SaaS product ownership models, and emerging technologies such as analytics and AI.
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field required.
You should also be comfortable making thoughtful trade-off decisions, navigating ambiguity, and helping teams move toward shared priorities even when needs are competing.
What sets you apart
You don’t need to check every box, but here’s what will help you thrive in this role:
Experience partnering across multiple business functions, such as Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, and IT.
Experience with analytics platforms, extensibility tools, or AI-enabled enterprise solutions.
A strong ability to connect platform strategy with user adoption, governance, data quality, and long-term business value.
What you’ll get
We believe in supporting our team members both professionally and personally.
In this role, you can expect:
The opportunity to influence an enterprise platform that supports many teams across Truliant and helps important work get done more effectively.
A collaborative environment where you’ll work with business leaders, technical partners, and governance groups to solve meaningful platform challenges.
Professional growth through exposure to Workday roadmap planning, cross-functional prioritization, release planning, governance, and enterprise decision-making.
A purpose-driven culture where improving systems, strengthening data integrity, and supporting team member experiences all connect back to serving Truliant’s members and business.
A role with visibility, ownership, and the ability to help shape how Truliant continues to use Workday as the organization evolves.
Ready to Apply?
If you have a passion for member service and would like to invest in a meaningful career with opportunity for growth, we encourage you to apply to Truliant!
As a member of the Truliant family, you will enjoy the following full time benefits:
No-cost employee Medical, dental, vision coverage
Prescription benefits (including mail order)
Paid holidays and Paid Time Off (PTO)
401(k) plan with contribution matching
