Apply working knowledge of global toy safety regulations and standards (ASTM F963, CPSIA, EN71, ISO, etc.) and ensure requirements are clearly communicated to internal teams, suppliers, and test labs
Partner with internal labs and third-party testing facilities to execute product validation, review test plans and reports, and ensure compliance with regulatory and brand requirements
Utilize data from product testing, consumer complaints, returns, and field performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for product improvement
Conduct investigations into product failures, safety issues, and manufacturing defects using root cause analysis tools; document findings and support corrective actions
Support risk management activities (e.g., FMEA) to identify and mitigate product and process risks throughout development and production
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Development, Packaging, Regulatory, Manufacturing) to ensure quality requirements are understood and effectively implemented
Identify downstream impacts of design or process decisions on safety, compliance, cost, and consumer experience, and communicate risks appropriately
Support supplier and manufacturing quality activities, including issue resolution, corrective actions, and quality performance monitoring
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing product quality, testing strategies, and manufacturing processes while maintaining compliance
Support investigation and resolution of consumer complaints and field issues, ensuring timely and thorough responses
Periodic travel to global manufacturing sites and development partners as needed
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or Electrical Engineering (or related field)
2–5 years of experience in quality engineering, product development, or manufacturing (toy or consumer products industry preferred)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with statistical tools (e.g., Minitab) preferred
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across design, engineering, labs, and manufacturing teams
Ability to interpret and apply global toy safety and consumer product regulations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Ability to independently analyze, summarize, and present data clearly to support quality decisions
Strong attention to detail, especially related to product safety and compliance
