What You’ll Do
As a Store Associate you will be responsible for:
Delivering an Exceptional Guest Experience
Provide friendly, prompt service at the register or self-checkout
Suggest additional products to enhance guest purchases
Address guest concerns with urgency and involve managers as needed
Foster a team-oriented, respectful work environment
Help Keep Our Stores Stocked & Fresh
Ensure food and beverage items are available and up to quality standards
Maintain cleanliness in food prep areas and follow all safety regulations
Restock shelves, coolers, and display areas as needed
Keep It Clean & Organized
Maintain a clean, welcoming store environment inside and out
Complete regular cleaning tasks to ensure a great experience for guests
Assist in inventory management and restocking

Responsibilities:
Greet guests and teammates with a smile, responding promptly and courteously to both.
Respond promptly and respectfully to management directions, and be flexible and capable of working in all areas of the store, including but not limited to food service, store cleaning, cash wrap, and stocking shelves/coolers.
Prepares, handles, and serves food in accordance with safety and quality standards. Maintains a clean and organized food service area, ensures proper storage and labeling of ingredients, and adheres to all food safety regulations to deliver a great guest experience.
Willing and able to clean all areas of the store, including breaking down food equipment and following established cleaning procedures. Ensures adherence to safety protocols when handling chemicals.
Ensure shelves are fully stocked, and backrooms and coolers are clean, well-organized, and maintained.
Operates the cash register efficiently and accurately, processes transactions, handles cash and card payments, and provides excellent guest service. Ensures the register area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies while adhering to all cash-handling policies and procedures.
Act as the first point of contact for guest concerns, responding respectfully and compassionately while recognizing when to escalate issues to the shift manager.
Meet guest transaction expectations by managing line lengths and providing polite, clear, and prompt communication while responding quickly to requests.
Recognize the importance of following all written and verbal instructions to uphold food safety standards, including thoroughly cleaning preparation stations.
Proactively inform guests about promotional food items to raise awareness and drive product engagement.
Act in accordance with all RaceTrac policies, as well as federal, state, and local safety regulations, including those related to food safety
Respond openly to feedback from guests, team members, and leaders, making necessary adjustments to enhance performance.
Be a reliable team player by arriving on time for scheduled shifts, supporting teammates throughout their shift, sharing important information, and working effectively with individuals from different backgrounds.
Engage with guests and teammates politely and respectfully, listening actively to their requests without interrupting.
