Description
Seven Seas Water Group is looking for a Logistics Specialist to take financial and physical ownership of project freight, from the moment it leaves a vendor's dock to the moment it lands on site. You'll plan routes, negotiate rates and contracts with carriers and brokers, manage budgets and claims, and run receiving and warehousing across our locations, all while keeping Project Managers current on what's moving, in what condition, and at what cost. This role combines hands-on execution with real technical depth in international freight: HTS codes, tariff exposure, hazmat protocols, and customs documentation. It's a warehouse/office-based role, Monday through Friday, with regular time on the warehouse floor and periodic travel to suppliers, ports, and project sites.

Through our Water-as-a-Service® (WaaS®) model, we design, build, own, and operate more than 200 water and wastewater treatment plants, taking on the capital and operational risk so our customers don't have to. SSWG is a portfolio company of EQT, a global investment firm with more than three decades of experience building essential infrastructure.
You'll own shipments end to end, from vendor to site, planning routes, pulling spot quotes, and managing budgets and the formal freight approval process to hit project timelines. You'll negotiate freight contracts, lane rates, and carrier agreements directly with brokers and forwarders, reconcile invoices against POs and contract rates, and manage freight claims (damage, loss, delay, demurrage) end to end with carriers and insurers.
On the international and warehouse side, you'll coordinate import and export clearance and customs documentation (HTS codes, country of origin, Incoterms, commercial invoices, bills of lading), handle hazmat and oversized shipments, and oversee receiving, staging, and inventory accuracy across our warehouse locations. You'll keep Project Managers informed with real-time shipment tracking, and report out the KPIs, cost versus budget, on-time delivery, claims, dwell time, that show how logistics is performing.

What you bring
A background in industrial construction, utilities, energy, or EPC project environments is a plus, as is experience with a formal Delegation of Authority approval process or certifications like CSCP, CLTD, IATA/DGR, or a Customs Broker license. None of these are required to apply.
You'd be the single point of accountability for project freight, with real authority over rates, routing, claims, and the warehouse floor, and direct visibility into how your analysis and negotiation shape project cost and timelines. If you want a role where your reporting and your judgment are what Project Managers rely on to know where their materials are, this is that seat.
Location: Warehouse/office-based, Monday through Friday. Regular time on the warehouse floor, with periodic visits to suppliers, ports, freight terminals, and project sites, and occasional domestic or international travel as projects require.
