Job Description
What you’ll do
Lead and develop high-performing, global virtual program teams—driving accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and results. Partner closely with the Global Account Lead to build a partnership for life.
Serve as the executive point of contact and principal customer liaison. Establish governance models, communicate transparently, align outcomes to client objectives, and address concerns promptly.
Own program financials and commercial stewardship: P&L elements (budget, margin, cash flow), scenario planning, change orders/contract amendments, and delivery against cost/schedule/quality.
Set strategic program planning and portfolio governance: define multi-year roadmaps, scope/benefits, resourcing, and alignment with enterprise strategy and global priorities.
Drive enterprise risk management across technical, supply, regulatory, and commercial domains—implementing controls, contingencies, and escalation pathways to ensure reliable delivery.
Oversee program performance: manage milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and critical path; leverage program management tools to pre-empt risks and roadblocks; report to internal ELT and clients.
Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence—standardizing best practices, codifying lessons learned, and elevating speed and quality with a Lean/Six Sigma mindset.
Build program management capabilities: mentor PMs, reinforce governance, and succession plan for critical roles.
Partner with Global Account Leads and BD on strategic pursuits—proposals, solution design, pricing strategies, and win themes.
Synthesize insights and recommendations for the ELT—informing strategic prioritization and investment decisions.
And all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Pharmacy or related field is required.
15+ years total professional experience, including 10+ years leading complex global programs/portfolios
8+ years experience in CDMO or pharmaceutical industry, with a preference for biologics manufacturing and/or advanced therapy
Proven experience of working with complex, global clients
Demonstrated success in program management at global level
Experience in coaching and leading global, virtual teams
Strong financial acumen (budgeting, margin management, risk/opportunity analysis); adept at contract/change management and scenario planning
Preferred Requirements
Master’s degree in life science is preferred.
PgMP or PMP certification.
Experience building global program governance frameworks and standard work.
Familiarity with biologics manufacturing modalities (e.g., mAbs, viral vectors, cell therapies) and tech transfer in GMP environments.
What we offer
Competitive compensation. Additionally, our programs are designed to focus on maintaining and enhancing all pillars of health with a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage with the option of a Health Savings Account with company contributions. In addition, we offer an industry leading 401(k) savings plan, insurance coverage, employee assistance programs and various wellness incentives. We support life-work balance with paid vacation time, sick time, and company holidays. Explore a supportive environment that enriches both your personal and professional growth!
