About Us
GSR is crypto’s capital markets partner, helping founders and institutions scale with confidence. With over a decade of specialized expertise, we deliver institutional-grade market making, OTC trading, and strategic venture capital to support growth at every stage.
Our value goes beyond execution. We provide access to liquidity, real-time market intelligence, and strategic guidance shaped by years operating at the center of global crypto markets. We bridge the gap between traditional finance and digital assets, connecting teams with the capital, market access, and insights they need to build what’s next.
About the Role
Payroll touches every employee, every month, across six countries with different tax rules, benefits structures, and compliance requirements. Get it wrong and it shows up immediately in someone's paycheck. Get it right and it's invisible, which is exactly the point.
As a GSR Payroll Advisor you'll run payroll end-to-end across our 8 global locations, working directly with our payroll provider rather than through layers of process. You'll be the person employees trust with questions about their pay, and the person Finance and HR rely on for accurate reporting and clean data. As the team is small, you'll have real scope to shape how payroll runs, not just execute a fixed checklist.
Responsibilities
Own end-to-end payroll across UK, US, Singapore, Switzerland, Portugal, UAE, Cayman Islands and Spain
Manage starters, leavers and backpay accurately and on time
Review monthly payroll outputs and resolve discrepancies with our provider
Calculate pay correctly across hours, tax, national insurance, benefits and leave
Resolve employee payroll queries directly
Lead year-end close across all entities
Your Profile
3+ years in payroll, ideally within financial services or a multinational organisation
Strong UK and US payroll knowledge; international experience a plus
A self-starter who can manage competing priorities with minimal oversight
Confident in Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with Confluence, Jira, HiBob or Cloudpay is a bonus
Clear communicator, fluent in English, comfortable working across a multicultural, international team
Salary of £45,000–£55,000, dependent on experience
A collaborative and transparent company culture founded on Integrity, Innovation, and Performance
Healthcare, dental, vision, and retirement planning benefits, plus 30 days of holiday and free lunches when in the office
Hybrid working pattern across our global offices in London, the US, Singapore, Zug, and Malaga
Regular Town Halls, team lunches, offsites, and social events
A strong Corporate and Social Responsibility program, including charity matching and volunteer days
Immigration and relocation support where required
