Objectives will be achieved by maintaining existing customers in their assigned area. As a Sales Associate must have a high level of flexibility. The person is required to coordinate sales activities and promotions with other employees and administrators of the company as well as customers and clients of the company with respect to their needs, concerns, and schedules.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
Working Conditions: Sales employees have large territories and travel considerably. Because a sales area may cover several areas. May be away from home for several days or weeks at a time. Others work near their home base and travel mostly by car. Because of the nature of the work and the amount of travel, the incumbent will work more than 40 hours per week. Sales employees often are on their feet for long periods and may carry heavy sample products (up to 50 pounds), necessitating some physical stamina. Dealing with different types of people can be stimulating but demanding. Sales employees often face competition from other companies. Companies usually set goals or quotas that associates are expected to meet. Sales employees are also under the added pressure to maintain and expand their clientele.
