Your role
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Technical Project Officer to join our Major Digital and ICT Programs team within the Information and Digital Services division. In this role, you will provide project coordination and technical support to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards, while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
What you’ll do
You will support the successful delivery of ICT projects through a mix of coordination, technical, and stakeholder engagement activities, including:
Supporting project planning and delivery, including assisting Project Managers with PMO, SAP and MyWorkZone queries and transactions
Assisting with procurement processes and tender evaluations, including documentation, scoring, and reporting
Coordinating network hardware orders and logistics across suppliers, delivery partners, and internal teams
Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues
Conducting Wi-Fi coverage testing at sites and reporting findings to support network optimisation
Performing onsite quality inspections of cabling, patching and hardware installations
Supporting change management processes, documentation and approvals
Troubleshooting Wi-Fi-related issues and working with technical teams to resolve or escalate as needed
Collaborating with non-technical onsite teams to coordinate system administration activities
What we’re looking for
You are a proactive and organised professional with strong communication and problem-solving skills, capable of working in a fast-paced environment. You will bring:
Tertiary or industry qualifications in a relevant technical field and/or experience supporting project delivery in complex environments
Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Well-developed analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking abilities
Experience with ITIL, CAPM, Cisco hardware, or infrastructure deployment (highly regarded)
Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and broader business units
A valid NSW Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel are essential for this role.
