Responsibilities
The Senior Asset Accountant ensures accurate fixed asset accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and compliance with statutory reporting requirements. They also manage fixed asset registers, revaluations, and provide technical expertise to support infrastructure asset capitalisation.
Requirements
Candidates must have strong experience in fixed asset accounting, including capitalisation and valuation, along with proficiency in SAP Fixed Assets. A relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, business, or commerce and full membership of a recognised professional accounting body are required.

You'll make a tangible impact on the people of NSW, using your finance and accounting skills to help build a sustainable and thriving transport network for generations to come.
In this role, you'll:
You ensure accurate fixed asset accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and compliance with Accounting Standards, NSW Treasury policies, and statutory reporting requirements.
You manage fixed asset registers, revaluations, and asset data to maintain complete, accurate, and reliable asset records.
You support the capitalisation and financial reporting of infrastructure assets.
You provide technical asset accounting expertise and drive effective asset management processes, systems, policies, and stakeholder collaboration to achieve organisational objectives.
You demonstrate strong experience in fixed asset accounting, including asset capitalisation, valuation, and financial reporting activities.
You utilise SAP Fixed Assets and project accounting modules to manage asset transactions, reporting, and project capitalisation processes.
You apply sound accounting, business, economic, or commerce knowledge gained through a relevant tertiary qualification and professional experience.
You maintain full membership of a recognised professional accounting body and provide expert guidance on fixed asset accounting and compliance requirements.
