Implement and maintain a compliance plan for outpatient coding and reimbursement while conducting quality reviews to ensure accurate APC assignment. Provide education to coding staff and physicians on ICD-10-CM, CPT/HCPCS guidelines, and documentation requirements.
Requires a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification and at least 4 years of ICD-10 coding experience in acute care, including 2 years of APC auditing. Candidates must possess strong computer skills and knowledge of APC grouping methodologies.
