Summary
The Management Analyst III provides support to the Department of State’s Bureau of African Affairs and reports to the Program Manager. The position is 100% on-site.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate travel for all AF/EX staff members.
Create and maintain a knowledge base solving travel-related issues at Embassies abroad.
Assist high-profile customers in AF with finding solutions for time-sensitive issues ranging from overseas locally employed staff human resources to travel regulations.
Build a customer service relationship with AF shareholders, capable of resolving issues in a timely manner on travel and administrative topics.
Create solutions or alternative practices.
Analyze data and develop solutions or alternative methods of proceeding.
Recommend new systems, procedures, or organizational changes.
Effectively communicate with personnel concerned to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented systems or procedures.
May train colleagues on implementation of new procedures and policies.
Manage calendars for AF/EX principals.
Education and Qualifications
Must be a U.S. citizen and possess or be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance. Preference will be given to those with active security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in any field
Ten years combined experience in travel coordination, human resources, and logistics management.
Experience managing travel portfolios for VIP customers.
Experience solving problems under time constraints.
Ability to solve problems and encourage consistent, solid performance.
Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
English language (written and spoken) communications skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate activities in multiple locations, act decisively in daily work, and work well in a multicultural team environment.
Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
Ability to work independently to assess priorities and manage daily coordination of details with minimal supervision.
