This position supports the calculation and reporting of revenue requirements and prepares the annual budget for generation and transmission services. It also involves performing detailed financial analysis, maintaining the budget model, and preparing management performance reports for the Board of Trustees.
The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a business equivalent. Candidates should have three to five years of professional experience in corporate budgeting or financial management, with preference given to those with electrical utility industry experience.
This position is primarily responsible for supporting the calculation and reporting of the Cooperative's revenue requirements and preparing the annual budget for generation and transmission service to the Member Cooperatives. This includes assisting with the operation of the budget model, collecting and organizing the budget assumptions, validating budget model input, and interpreting year-over-year budget variances and trends. This position is also responsible for supporting the preparation of various monthly management performance reports and reports to the Board of Trustees, and detailed variance and trend analysis of actual financial results in comparison to the cooperative budget. This position performs detailed financial analysis to support cross-departmental initiatives, external benchmarking studies, financial forecasting, and informed management decision making and planning.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business equivalent. Additional training in financial management or an advanced accounting or finance degree is desirable. Electrical utility or related industries experience preferred. Applicants with three (3) to five (5) years of professional experience in corporate budgeting, financial management and/or an advanced accounting may be considered for the Budget Analyst II-level job title.

Seminole Electric Cooperative is one of the largest generation and transmission (G&T) cooperatives in the country. Seminole’s purpose is to provide safe, affordable, and reliable wholesale power to nine Member distribution electric cooperatives. Seminole’s primary resources include the Seminole Generating Station (SGS) and the Seminole Combined Cycle Facility (SCCF) in Palatka, Florida, the Richard J. Midulla Generating Station (MGS) in Hardee County, Florida, and the Cooperative Solar facility, located on property adjacent to MGS.
