We are expanding our Student (Co-op / Internship) program and are looking to add a Student Training Coordinator on a 4- or 6-month term (ASAP – December 2026).
Reporting to the Supervisor, Training and Employee Development, we are looking for a student to work closely with the Training and Development team to support the coordination, administration, and reporting of training programs across Valard's business units. This opportunity offers hands-on exposure to training administration and workforce development within one of the most critical sectors of the construction industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate and maintain the training calendar and schedule, ensuring sessions are organized and communicated to the relevant teams
Organize logistics for training sessions including venues, equipment, and materials
Oversee and update employee training records as a lead administrator for QPC and HRIS, including submitting system tickets as required
Manage crew profiles across various business units and generate training reports as needed
Monitor training material inventory and replenish stock when necessary
Review scheduled reports and follow up with employees and vendors regarding certification updates
Track incomplete training and support the team in maintaining accurate performance metrics
Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in a related field, with at least one semester remaining
Legally eligible to work in Canada for the full duration of the term
Available to start as soon as possible for a 4- or 6-month term ending December 2026
Proficiency with standard computer programs including spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation tools
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Preferred Skills / Qualifications
Previous experience or exposure to training administration, HR systems, or workforce development
Familiarity with HRIS platforms or learning management systems (LMS)
