Hope Valley Country Club, located in Durham, North Carolina, and managed by Bobby Jones Links, was founded in 1926. Hope Valley Country Club is seeking friendly, detail-oriented Banquet Servers to provide exceptional service for club events. This role is ideal for hospitality professionals who enjoy creating memorable guest experiences in a team-oriented environment.
Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of banquet and event spaces
Read and execute all specifications listed on Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
Circulate throughout events serving trays of appetizers and beverages
Serve and refill alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a professional manner
Follow safe work practices and proper food handling standards
Communicate any service issues or guest concerns to a supervisor promptly
Qualifications

No prior banquet or serving experience required — we are happy to train the right candidate
Friendly, positive attitude with a willingness to provide excellent service
Ability to listen, learn, and follow directions for event setup and service
Strong teamwork skills and a desire to help where needed
Basic understanding of food and beverage service, or willingness to learn
Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors, coworkers, and guests
Willingness to follow food safety guidelines and safe work practices
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events
Ability to lift and carry trays, chairs, and event equipment (up to approximately 25–30 lbs)
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance
Alcohol service certification preferred, but can be obtained after hire
