The Senior Administrator oversees the Central Carolina Teaching Initiative (CCTI) by managing recruitment, training, coaching, and licensure for resident teachers. They lead the integration of the program into district HR structures and analyze data to ensure program effectiveness and compliance.
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in education or a related field and possess at least five years of successful teaching experience. A valid North Carolina Professional Educator’s license in an administrative area is required, along with expertise in adult learning and instructional coaching.

In collaboration with the Director of the Central Carolina Teaching Initiative (CCTI): Wake-Durham oversees all Educator Preparation Program (EPP) components to include recruiting, training, coaching, licensing, and retaining a diverse, high-quality teacher pipeline committed to serving students and communities. Leads the integration of the CCTI EPP into the Human Resource (HR) structures within both the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) and their partner district Durham Public Schools (DPS). Serves as liaison between partner districts to develop the strategic vision and implementation of a “grow-your own” diverse, high-quality educator pipeline. Manages the day-to-day operations of the EPP. Develops the coaching team capacity for effective remote coaching. Works with the curriculum team to support training aligned to residency licensure requirements. Communicates on a regular basis with district departments, educators, and the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI.) Monitors and analyzes program data for review and program improvement.

This job operates in a professional office and school environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, and copiers. The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff, students, parents, external agencies, vendors, and the community. Work is considered light physical work, requiring the exertion of up to ten pounds of force. The work frequently requires driving automotive equipment, as travel is required to schools, central service offices, and other locations within Wake County.
