About the Role: The Communications & Engagement Coordinator is an entry-level position that plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the communication strategies that enhance the organization's visibility and stakeholder engagement. This position is responsible for developing compelling social media, assisting in donor management, cataloging in-kind donations, and managing select volunteers. The Coordinator will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to foster meaningful relationships and ensure consistent brand representation. Under supervision of the Development Director, the role continuously refines communication approaches to maximize impact and reach.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
Proficiency in using digital communication tools and social media platforms.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience in communications, public relations, or community engagement roles.
Experience with graphic design software.
Background in nonprofit or public sector communications.
Experience organizing community events or stakeholder engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Assist with donor management, including creation of appeals, acknowledgement letters and stewardship reports.
Create engaging and clear content for social media platforms.
Coordinate and manage volunteers within select programs.
Coordinate and support events and community engagement activities to strengthen stakeholder relationships and promote organizational initiatives.
Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment across all communication channels.
