Anuvia Prevention and Recovery Center is seeking a Recovery Court Licensed Counselor to provide individual, group, and family counseling services to clients with substance use and/or co-occurring mental health disorders participating in Recovery Court — delivering compassionate, evidence-based care in alignment with Anuvia's mission and values. CADC(I), CADC(R) is required; licensure as an LCAS(A), LCSW(A), LCMHC(A), or LMFT(A) is preferred.

This position is full-time, Monday–Friday.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Recovery Court
Provides counseling services to clients participating in Anuvia's Recovery Court program. The clinician carries a caseload of Recovery Court clients, facilitating individual, group, and family sessions, conducting ASAM assessments, and coordinating closely with judicial officers, probation, and other Recovery Court team members to support each client's progress through the program. This role requires comfort communicating clinical progress and recommendations to the court and working collaboratively within a judicially-supervised treatment model.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide individual, group, and family counseling for clients with substance use and/or co-occurring mental health disorders participating in Recovery Court
Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments including psychosocial and ASAM multidimensional assessments; develop ASAM Level of Care recommendations
Develop, implement, and update individualized, person-centered treatment plans in coordination with Recovery Court requirements
Monitor client progress and revise treatment plans as clinically indicated
Manage all aspects of a caseload from admission through discharge, including aftercare planning
Facilitate psychoeducation, relapse prevention, and recovery skills groups
Provide crisis intervention and clinical consultation, including after-hours phone consultation as applicable
Coordinate closely with judicial officers, probation/parole, case managers, and other Recovery Court team members
Attend Recovery Court staffing meetings and hearings as needed to provide clinical updates on client progress
Coordinate care with MAT, psychiatric, psychological, medical, and community-based services
Submit service authorizations and maintain continuity of care across providers
Complete accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) per state, federal, and agency standards
Complete required reporting including NC TOPPS, GPRA, and incident reports
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case staffing, and clinical supervision
Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and timely resolution of compliance items
Administer medications and conduct UDS screenings within scope of training and licensure
Adhere to all professional, ethical, and governing board standards
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensure
Master's degree in human services or a field approved by NCASPPB, NC Social Work Board, NCLCMHCB, or NC Marriage and Family Therapy Licensure Board
Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
Experience working with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions preferred
Experience working within a Recovery Court, Drug Court, or other diversion court model preferred
Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and MS Office applications
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to respond effectively to clients, families, judicial partners, and interdisciplinary teams
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, multi-program environments
