Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians to deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality maintenance execution, while building capability, accountability, and engagement across the team.
Own equipment uptime and asset performance by partnering with plant leadership to identify, prioritize, and implement mechanical, electrical, and facilities improvements that support production continuity.
Lead annual and long-range capital planning, and partner with vendors, OEMs, engineering firms, and the Plant Engineer to design, install, and integrate new equipment that supports growth, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
Direct equipment installation and start-up activities, establishing and enforcing Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) standards to ensure regulatory readiness, complete documentation, and vendor accountability.
Establish and drive a comprehensive maintenance strategy, including preventive and predictive maintenance programs, effective CMMS use, labor planning, and spare parts control to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
Set clear expectations for performance, safety, and conduct, and hold the team accountable to Peet’s standards, policies, and ways of working.
Manage the maintenance budget, spare parts inventory, and service contracts to balance cost control, parts availability, and long-term asset health.
Coordinate external service providers and vendor repairs to ensure timely resolution of equipment issues and continuity of operations.
Build organizational capability by identifying skill gaps, implementing targeted training plans, and coaching employees to support current operations and future technology adoption.
Maintain facility and equipment documentation, including layout drawings, installation records, manuals, specifications, and blueprints.
Ensure compliance with housekeeping, food safety, sanitation, and GMP standards, while continuously improving the preventive maintenance program and overall equipment reliability.
Qualifications:

Team Development: Proven ability to lead, coach, and hold technical teams accountable while developing capability, improving performance, and building a strong safety culture.
Problem Solving & Communication: Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, implement root-cause solutions, influence cross-functional partners, and translate technical issues into clear business decisions.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations (OSHA, NFPA 70E), as well as welding and metal fabrication techniques.
Working proficiency in Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office suite.
Experience processing invoices and evaluating vendor proposals based on price, lead time, quality, and business value.
Preferred:
