The Surgery Coordinator manages the scheduling of surgical appointments, procedures, and diagnostic tests while coordinating insurance approvals and patient records. They work closely with clinic staff and the operating room team to ensure efficient room utilization and high-quality family support.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of healthcare scheduling or clinical reception experience. Proficiency in medical terminology is required, and bilingual skills are preferred.

The schedule for this position is: Monday-Friday 05:30-14:00
Plan and coordinate services for families throughout the surgical experience including: scheduling new patient, follow up pre-op, PASS, and post-op appointments, procedures, diagnostic tests, recalls, surgical admissions and interpreters in close collaboration with family and clinic staff; working closely with OR to ensure maximum room utilization; coordinating the insurance approval process; and managing patient records.
Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of Medical terminology.
Minimum of one (1) year of healthcare scheduling experience as a Family Service Coordinator or equivalent clinical reception/coordinator experience.
Required Credentials n/a.
Preferred Associate’s Degree or at least two (2) years of college coursework in health care or related field.
Significant experience working with the general public in a health care/customer service environment.
Familiarity with other cultures/bilingual skills.
Compensation Range
$24.77 - $37.16 per hour
Salary Information
This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
