Now Brewing – creative project manager! #tobeapartner

From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.

The Lead, Creative Project Manager will lead and oversee all stages of highly complex creative projects and programs, developing deep partnerships with both creative teams and internal business teams. They are solution oriented, able to nimbly adjust when projects change and adapt communications for appropriate audiences as needed. The ideal candidate must have expertly managed complex, ambiguous and large-scale creative projects in creative agency and enterprise environments. This role will mentor team members on project work and, alongside other team leaders, responsible for establishing and implementing team best practices and team culture. Candidate should model and exemplify the Starbucks Mission & Values.

As a creative project manager, you will…

  •   Develop and drive a strategic approach to projects and programs based on project briefs and goals.

·       Guide business partners through the creative process from kick-off to the delivery of projects and programs.

·       Build relationships with business partners to understand business objectives, establish trust, create open communication lines, and strategically partner with creative leads to guide work through all levels of approvals.

·       Manage projects in accordance with and influences project, program and account management methodologies.

·       Drive complex, cross-functional enterprise projects and programs by leading high-performing and often globally distributed teams.

·       Effectively self-manage workload across multiple, multi-disciplinary, and complex projects and programs with varying deadlines.

·       Consistently identify connections across projects and programs as a source of input, consistency, and inspiration for brand-accretive creative solutions.

·       Achieve established goals and easily identify and adapt to changing business and Studio priorities.

·       Cultivate strong working relationships with business partners inside and outside the Studio, positively representing the organization in cross-functional settings.

·       Clearly and strategically communicate to all stakeholders.

·       Engage with others in a respectful, empathetic manner, promoting a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment, and participate in building the Creative Studio's culture.

We’d love to hear from people with:

·       Ability to function effectively, independently and thrive in a highly ambiguous environment with the flexibility to change course as required to respond to new situations

·       Ability to influence others through strong interpersonal, diplomatic, and negotiation skills to achieve alignment internally and cross-functionally

·       Demonstrated creative project and account management expertise and a track record in leading complex and cross-functional projects, involving people from multiple levels and organizations

·       Expert communicator and ability to communicate concisely, both orally and in writing

·       Strong organizational skills

·       Both creative agency experience (5 years) and general business experience in large, matrixed organizations (5 years)

·       3+ years creative project management, including all elements of scope, time, cost, risk, quality, integrations, procurement, human resources and communications

·       3+ years managing large-scale or multiple mid-sized creative projects

·       2+ years building and mentoring teams

·       2+ years in large, matrixed organization or creative agency.

As a Starbucks partner, you (and your family) will have access to medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, and other voluntary insurance benefits. Partners have access to short-term and long-term disability, paid parental leave, family expansion reimbursement, paid vacation from date of hire, sick time (accrued at 1 hour for every 25 hours worked), eight paid holidays, and two personal days per year. Starbucks also offers eligible partners participation in a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, a discounted company stock program (S.I.P.), Starbucks equity program (Bean Stock), incentivized emergency savings, and financial well-being tools.  Additionally, Starbucks offers 100% upfront tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University’s online program via the Starbucks College Achievement Plan, student loan management resources, and access to other educational opportunities.  You will also have access to backup care and DACA reimbursement.   Starbucks will comply with any applicable state and local laws regarding employee leave benefits, including, but not limited to providing time off pursuant to the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act, and in accordance with its plans and policies. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.  At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
