Better Morning emerged as an outpatient behavioral health practice in Ashburn, VA in the year of 2014.
In addition to providing counseling from the Ashburn office, Better Morning started off as a certified provider for intensive in home and community-based services (IHCBS), for at risk youth in District of Columbia.
In August of 2017, Better Morning was certified as a Core service agency (CSA) by DC Department of Behavioral Health. Better morning founder’s passion for at risk youth and their family were the motivation to keep expanding the evidenced based programs to meet the need of the underserved population.

The compensation will vary based on experience with DBH Mental Health Rehabilitation Services (MHRS)
Position Summary:
The Clinical Manager for the mental health rehabilitation program will oversee all clinical aspects of services for an assigned team(s). Manages, directs, and leads the treatment services provided, provides administrative and clinical supervision, and provides direct clinical services based on client and agency need.

Responsibilities:
Demonstrates leadership and supervision skills that lead to acceptable/expected levels of productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of team members in expecting and providing excellent care to clients.
Works in coordination with Clinical Director and staff to ensure coverage of services, supervision, and crisis support across teams and programs.
Attends DBH meetings; stakeholder meetings; facilitate family team meetings as needed
Trains staff and manages, coordinates, evaluates and supervises all operations within assigned clinical staff and treatment services.
Provides direct services such as complete comprehensive assessment for new intakes at least 6 per week
Approves session notes
Provides personnel management functions for all assigned staff including supervision, annual evaluations, involvement in hiring, disciplinary actions, etc. in consultation with Human Resources.
Provides individual and group supervision to improve the skills and productivity of staff.
Ensures clinical documentation meets compliance standards/guidelines and approve the notes.
Works with other providers for referrals and relationship for agency as needed
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health field.
Must be Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)in District of Columbia.
Two-three years of experience in the field and one – three years of supervisory experience

Since our establishment in 2014, we have been committed to providing high quality, focused, professional services to individuals and families in the Northern Virginia and Washington DC area.
In addition to providing counseling from the Ashburn office, Better Morning started off providing Community Based Intervention (CBI), level II and III, services to youth between the ages of 6 and 21. Better Morning adheres to the CBI practice guidelines as set forth by the Department of Behavioral health and accepts referrals from Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA), Court Social Services( CSS), Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services( DYRS).
In August of 2017, Better Morning expanded, becoming certified by the DC Department of Behavioral Health to operate as a Core Service Agency (CSA) to serve the needs of people with mental illnesses in the District of Columbia. This allowed us to begin providing a range of services to those living with mental illnesses including community support services to assist with learning the skills necessary to manage daily life and successfully achieve their goals. Better Morning also provides individual, couple, family and group counseling, assistance with obtaining housing support and, psychiatric services for medication management when needed. Our CSA services are offered out of our DC office located at 4545 42nd St. NW."
