From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.
Starbucks is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Analysis Manager to join the Integrated Logistics Accounting team. This role is responsible for providing accounting leadership and financial stewardship for Starbucks' Transportation and Freight Pay operations. The position partners across Supply Chain, Transportation, Accounts Payable, Technology, and Finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain a strong control environment, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that support a growing and complex business
This role provides essential leadership and oversight for the freight audit and payment function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective financial stewardship of transportation and freight spend. The position is responsible for leading complex, cross-functional initiatives, driving process improvements, and maintaining a strong control environment through ownership of key SOX controls. It also requires exercising significant judgment in reviewing monthly accruals and accounting estimates provided by Finance teams, ensuring financial results are complete, accurate, and compliant with accounting policies. In addition, the role serves as a key liaison across Transportation Operations, Technology, Finance, and third-party service providers to resolve operational and system issues that impact the timely and accurate payment of freight invoices.
As an AAM, you will…
Leadership • Navigate ambiguity, competing priorities, and business change while delivering results. • Lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across multiple organizations. • Support and mentor accounting partners through coaching, training, and knowledge sharing. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence. Financial Stewardship & Accounting • Lead accounting and analysis activities supporting Transportation and Freight Pay operations. • Manage month-end close processes, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting for assigned areas of responsibility. • Ensure compliance with Starbucks accounting policies, internal controls, and U.S. GAAP. • Identify risks and opportunities and provide recommendations that support accurate financial reporting and sound business decisions. • Support internal and external audit requirements and maintain a strong control environment. Business Partnership & Process Improvement • Serve as a trusted accounting advisor to Supply Chain, Transportation, Accounts Payable, Technology, and Finance partners. • Partner with third-party service providers and business stakeholders to resolve issues and improve operational and financial processes. • Identify and implement opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and scale accounting processes. • Support system implementations, business initiatives, and process enhancements by evaluating accounting and financial impacts. • Drive proactive collaboration to improve reporting, controls, and partner experience.
We’d love to hear from people with: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. • 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience. • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. • Experience leading projects and influencing cross-functional stakeholders. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications • CPA and/or public accounting experience. • Experience supporting supply chain, transportation, logistics, inventory, or operational accounting environments. • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, Blackline, Alteryx, or related financial systems. • Demonstrated track record of process improvement and automation initiatives.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
