We are dedicated to expanding access to care, serving underserved communities, and improving lives through high-quality treatment and trauma-informed, person-centered care.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30AM to 5:00PM (hours may vary)
Reports to: Treatment Supervisor
Pay: $31.50-34.77 (SUDP) & $25.80-$29.80 (SUDPT)
Detailed Summary: Serve as the primary contact for participants; responsible for screenings, evaluations, assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing individual, group, and family counseling.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Counseling:
a. Provide individual and group counseling through the collection and synthesis of bio- psychosocial information from participants, families, referral sources, peers, and others as appropriate.
b. Consult as needed with Medical Director, Psychiatrist, ARNP, or Mental Health Clinician for new and ongoing cases, screening, and treatment planning.
c. Perform clinical work in an efficient and competent manner within THS productivity and quality standards.
d. May facilitate virtual group and individual sessions for evening program needs.
e. Establish and maintain a working relationship with all probation, parole, and other court- related personnel as appropriate.
2.Documentation:
a. Develop and implement treatment plans and concurrent treatment plan reviews reflective of the participant’s “voice”.
b. Ensure prompt, accurate clinical documentation including screening, assessment, intake, treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, progress notes, letters, referrals, and discharge summaries of terminated participants.
c. Maintain all participant files according to procedures outlined in the THS clinical manuals and consistent with applicable Washington Administrative Code (WAC), Revised Code of Washington (RCW), Federal guidelines, and standards of Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
3. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
1. Associates degree in Social Services/Sciences or a current student/trainee.
2. If SUDP certified 2-3 years’ experience in counseling & case evaluation.
3. Possess and maintain the Substance Use Disorder Professional/Trainee (SUDP/T) certification.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of substance use disorder, family dynamics, and counseling.
5. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Providing programs and services individualized to the unique goals and capabilities of the individual, allows us to help our patients achieve positive outcomes. Our primary care team helps our substance use and mental health patients to manage their overall physical health as well as commonly occurring chronic conditions. In an average year, our 9 service locations in King and Snohomish counties serve approximately 4,500 adults and nearly 750 youth and young adults in our community. Therapeutic Health Services is the largest non-profit provider of medication-assisted treatment for opioid addiction in Washington State. We specialize in treating high-risk, low-income, ethnic minority, multi-system involved, and “harder to serve” adults and youth.
