The Pharmacy Assistant is responsible for processing, packing, and shipping prescription orders while maintaining accurate inventory of supplies. They also manage interactions with third-party carriers and support general pharmacy operations to ensure seamless medication access.
Candidates must possess a Pharmacy Assistant license and a high school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in spreadsheet tools like MS Excel or Google Sheets and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.
Efficiently package prescription orders with meticulous attention to detail, while maintaining accurate inventory of all packaging and shipping supplies, including cold chain items.
Contribute to daily pharmacy and office operations by maintaining a clean and organized workspace, assisting with inventory management, and supporting process improvement initiatives.
Manage interactions with third-party couriers and shipping carriers, ensuring timely package dispatch, troubleshooting issues, and making urgent deliveries when necessary.
Pharmacy Assistant license.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
WA Only Requirement: Must have a Pharmacy Assistant License.

Onsite Requirement: Must be able to commute to and work at the pharmacy location during scheduled shifts.
Tools: Experience using MS Excel, Google sheets or similar spreadsheet tools, and Slack.
Ability to multitask, and know how to prioritize in a constantly changing environment.
Industry Experience: Experience in fulfillment or distribution, preferably in a pharmacy or healthcare environment.
Tools: Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and fulfillment software.
Familiarity with regulatory standards for medication distribution.
Physical requirements for this role include the ability to work at a computer terminal with monitor, keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time, frequently move around the pharmacy away from the computer terminal, stoop, bend, and reach for equipment and supplies, make frequent repetitive motions required to operate a computer and other pharmacy equipment that include the wrists, hands and fingers, and lift, carry, push, pull, and move light objects up to 50 pounds. The role also requires the ability to effectively communicate through verbal interactions, discern auditory information, and visually perceive details to perform essential job functions.

As a part-time, as-needed employee of the company, you are eligible for all legally mandated benefits, including, but not limited to, paid sick time, workers’ compensation insurance and unemployment insurance. The benefits team will review hours worked twice a year (early June and early December). If you meet the hours requirements, you may be eligible to participate in Alto’s medical, dental and vision insurance for at least six months. Please note that the Company may modify any of its offered benefits at any time, with or without notice to you, except as required by law.
