Full job description
Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per week
We are seeking a senior technology leader to serve as the Delivery Lead, Quality Engineering & Automation within Field Productivity Technology. This is a horizontal leadership role that enables and supports multiple verticals by driving the strategy and execution of quality engineering practices across advisor- and agent-facing platforms. This includes embedding automation, AI, and modern testing practices into every stage of delivery.
This leader will oversee a team of quality engineers and automation experts, providing both strategic and technical direction while partnering across delivery, engineering, and platform teams to embed quality throughout the software lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) experience, combined with proven leadership in scaling modern QE practices, test data management, cloud platforms, and AI-driven validation.
What You'll Do:
Define and lead the quality engineering strategy across all Field Productivity platforms
Build and scale automation-first practices across testing, validation, performance measurement, and test data management
Apply GenAI, AI-driven testing, and intelligent automation to accelerate test coverage, improve defect prediction, and simulate complex user journeys
Integrate quality controls within CI/CD pipelines to support secure, reliable releases
Advance API and microservices testing, performance/load testing, and security testing within the QE framework
Introduce shift-right practices, including observability, synthetic monitoring, and production-quality validation
Establish and monitor QE metrics: test coverage, regression rates, release stability, defect trends, and performance benchmarks
What You'll Bring:
15+ years of experience in software engineering, quality engineering, or related leadership roles
Strong background as an SDET, with hands-on expertise in automation frameworks and engineering-led QA practices
Deep experience with automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and release governance
Experience in test data management and related tools in complex ecosystems
Experience designing innovative testing strategies in a product-aligned operating model, including shift-left/shift-right approaches
Expertise in cloud and hyperscaler platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for QA pipelines, test environments, and observability
Experience applying AI-enhanced testing (e.g., GenAI for test generation, defect prediction, or data validation)
Proven ability to lead QA transformation in agile, fast-paced enterprise environments
Experience managing and scaling teams across locations and time zones
Observability & Monitoring: New Relic, Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk
AI-Enhanced QA: Testim, Mabl, Functionize, or similar GenAI/ML-powered tools
Test Data Management (TDM): Informatica TDM, Delphix, GenRocket
Security Testing: SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, Veracode
Cloud Platforms: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure
What You’ll Enable
Scalable, automated, and AI-enabled quality practices across platforms
Faster, safer, and more predictable platform releases
Broader adoption of modern testing practices and toolchains across the enterprise
Cloud-native and hyperscaler-ready QA capabilities
A shift from reactive QA to proactive, engineering-led quality
Higher confidence and reduced risk in advisor- and agent-facing platform delivery
