Full job description
Grow Therapy is on a mission to serve as the trusted partner for therapists growing their practice, and patients accessing high-quality care. Powered by technology, we are a three-sided marketplace that empowers providers, augments insurance payors, and serves patients. Following the mass increase in depression and anxiety, the need for accessibility is more important than ever. To make our vision for mental healthcare a reality, we’re building a team of entrepreneurs and mission-driven go-getters. Since launching in February 2021, we’ve empowered more than ten thousand therapists and hundreds of thousands of clients across the country and insurance landscape. We’ve raised more than $328Mm in funding, including our Series D, at a $3B valuation from Sequoia Capital, Transformation Capital, TCV, SignalFire, Menlo Ventures, Goldman Sachs Alternatives, and others.
Employment Type: Contract, 1099, 6 months with possibility of extension
Full Time: 40 hrs/week. This is a hybrid role with the expectation to work onsite from our NYC hub location three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). You may also be asked to occasionally work onsite Mondays or Fridays depending on in-person candidate interview needs.
Pay Rate: $31-$37 USD per hour
As a Recruiting Coordinator - Contractor, you'll be a vital partner to both candidates and our internal teams, helping ensure a seamless, human-first hiring experience. You’ll serve as a primary point of contact for scheduling interviews and maintaining our applicant tracking system, while also supporting key initiatives across our Talent Operations function. Your focus will be on creating a high-touch, inclusive, and efficient hiring process that reflects Grow Therapy’s values.
You’ll balance detail-oriented execution with warm, empathetic communication, ensuring candidates feel informed and cared for, and internal stakeholders are set up for success.
What You’ll Be Doing
Serve as the primary scheduling coordinator for candidate interviews, primarily for the Tech Team, ensuring logistics run smoothly across hiring teams, time zones, and interview formats.
Coordinate onsite interviews and act as the point of contact for candidates when they visit the office, providing white glove service and support
Own communication with candidates throughout the interview lifecycle - providing timely updates, answering questions, and sharing resources that reflect our values and brand.
Partner closely with recruiters and interview teams to support organized and consistent interview processes.
Maintain data integrity in our applicant tracking system (ATS), ensuring accurate and up-to-date information across candidate and job records.
Develop and maintain internal documentation including SOPs, training materials, and communication templates.
Support cross-functional Talent projects including our new Early Talent initiative, aimed at process improvement, helping with documentation, implementation, and team-wide accountability.
Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the candidate experience by identifying bottlenecks, offering process suggestions, and advocating for inclusive practices.
You’ll Be a Great Fit If
You have 1+ years of experience in a recruiting coordinator or talent operations role, ideally in a fast-paced or high-growth technology environment.
You’re highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrive when juggling multiple tasks and timelines.
You’re experienced with scheduling interviews and managing workflows within an ATS [Ashby experience is a plus].
You’ve worked with candidate records and pipelines, and understand the importance of clean, accurate data.
You bring excellent written and verbal communication skills, and enjoy interacting with people in a friendly and professional manner.
You’re proactive, collaborative, and energized by finding ways to make processes more effective.

We also consider qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with legal requirements.
Use of AI Tools: We use certain AI and automated tools to support recruitment. These tools help our team review applications, organize interviews, detect potential application integrity issues, and maintain interview records; they do not make final hiring decisions.
Application Review: Ashby's AI-Assisted Application Review helps review application materials against role-specific criteria and may flag potential fraud or integrity issues for recruiter review. All advancement decisions are made by our human recruiting team after independent review. See Ashby's AI Bias Audit Report.
Interview Recording: We use BrightHire to record interviews, supporting note-taking and consistency across candidates. Learn more. Interviews are confidential; you may ask your interviewer to stop recording anytime, or opt out in advance. Choosing not to be recorded will not, by itself, affect your candidacy.
AI-Assisted Recruiter Screen: For select roles, BrightHire's AI features may help structure initial recruiter screens and organize interview notes. All responses are reviewed by our recruiting team; no hiring decisions are made by AI alone.
State-specific notices: Depending on your location, you may have additional rights. Illinois: If AI analyzes a video interview, we'll provide notice, explain how it works and what it evaluates, and obtain consent beforehand. New York City: Where required, we'll provide at least 10 business days’ notice before using an automated employment decision tool and explain how to request an alternative process. Maryland: We do not use facial recognition to create facial templates during interviews unless required notice and written consent are obtained.
Questions, accommodation requests, requests for an alternative selection process, objections to recording, or concerns about AI use? Contact [email protected]. We’re happy to help or offer an alternative way to participate.

Grow is a mental health platform built to enable progress. We are more than a marketplace — bringing together clinical expertise, always-on tools, and deep insights to help clients improve their lives, providers build practices they're proud of, and businesses offer demonstrably more effective and efficient care.
We believe mental health is a never-ending pursuit, and we build toward that progress every day — connecting people with the right expert, clearing the path to care, and turning insight into action with support that doesn't stop. At Grow, mental health isn't just a fix — it's a practice. And our goal isn't just to help clients feel better, it's to help them achieve their goals in life.
For providers, Grow is the professional home for independent clinicians. We're as invested in providers as they are in their clients — which means we handle the payors so getting paid never becomes the work. We also build the tech foundation, foster the community, and elevate expert resources so providers can focus on being the best caregivers they can be.
So far, 15 million sessions have started on Grow. Each one a step forward with therapy you begin, build on, and keep coming back to.
• Covered by insurance: 220M lives covered on Grow
• Start right away: Begin in 2 days, not the national 48-day average
• Care that fits: In-person or virtual, day or night. Search by language, specialty, and more
• Results you can feel: 80%+ of Grow clients feel better after starting therapy
• No surprise costs: Clear cost estimates and no subscriptions
