Full job description
Who we are looking for
Fund Connect is looking for a Client Partner (AVP) reporting to the Head of Product Sales to join our team to ensure client success through strong engagement and exceptional service. You are responsible for managing your own book of client relationships - anticipating, understanding and addressing your clients’ needs on a day-to-day basis. You must also build strong relationships across the broader sales, operations, legal, compliance and other internal teams critical to the end-to-end client lifecycle, from initial contact, through on-boarding and beyond. With a consultative, solutions-oriented approach you will be expected to demonstrate initiative, energy, and superior networking skills to develop trust and accountability across both the existing client base and the State Street organization.
This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.
Why this role is important to us
The team you will be joining is a part of State Street Markets. As a leading provider of trading and lending solutions to the world’s institutional investors, we deliver the industry’s most innovative platforms, financing and portfolio solutions. Our capabilities are backed by proprietary, high-value research, insights and indicators that power clients’ investment decisions, accelerate performance and help investors stay ahead of shifting markets. Across our comprehensive set of solutions – data-driven macro market intelligence that give an information advantage; client-first platforms and tools that redefine trading; financing solutions that streamline liquidity access; and portfolio solutions designed to help achieve peak performance – we deliver a breakthrough edge to drive business success.
Investors are operating in increasingly complex regulatory and financial environments. Access to efficient, comprehensive trading solutions is vital to remaining competitive. Our GlobalLINKTM suite of award-winning electronic trading solutions deliver increased transparency, improved trading efficiency and quantifiable execution. Fund Connect, a division of GlobalLINKTM, is State Street’s market-leading global platform for trading Money Market Funds, Primary Market ETFs, Liquidity Instruments and Investment Funds. Fund Connect provides efficiencies to the entire pre- and post-trade lifecycle across multiple asset classes.
What you will be responsible for
As Client Partner you will
Own overall revenue outcomes for assigned clients through driving new business, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities
Act as the point of accountability for the client relationship. Maintain executive-level relationships to understand the client’s business strategy, operating model and challenges to position GlobalLINK as a strategic partner
Lead account planning and opportunity road-mapping to identify whitespace opportunities across products, services, and geographies by aligning client needs with our firm-wide capabilities and strategic priorities
Coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure the right resources are engaged at the right time. Break down silos to deliver integrated, enterprise-level solutions.
Maintain overall client health and retention by balancing growth ambitions with long-term sustainability. Proactively manage issues, escalations, and service risks; ensure delivery teams are aligned to client expectations.
Develop expertise on industry trends, competitor services/offerings, and clients’ business environment to provide clients with industry insights, sharing themes as well as current and potential impact on the client business model; represent the firm at conferences and be an active participant in related activities
Assimilate and share competitor intelligence keeping our Business Solutions team informed of market activity
What we value
These skills will help you succeed in this role
A strong track record demonstrating success in cultivating meaningful client relationships
Outstanding communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills; ability to interact professionally with business leaders and technical teams alike
A proactive, opinionated mindset with a strong desire to influence product direction and decision-making
An extremely flexible, hands-on approach with a “do what it takes” mentality and a willingness to challenge current paradigms
Strong team orientation with a collaborative mentality; thrives in cross-functional environments and values shared success.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
