Full job description
Company Overview
Rex is a privately held ecosystem of entrepreneurial ventures led by Peter Rex, spanning real estate private equity, technology, insurance, and AI. We build businesses and investment platforms that generate both exceptional financial returns and meaningful societal impact. At the core of our strategy is investor engagement: attracting aligned capital partners who share our long-term vision. We are building the most compelling investor-facing ecosystem in the private markets. The role offers exposure to a uniquely diverse platform, combining institutional-quality real estate and high-growth tech ventures, all aligned under a singular mission-driven vision.
About Us
Our mission is to catalyze human flourishing through stewardship, serving people in all nations. We seek a transcendent impact, second to none, crossing geographies and making a permanent mark on history.
We aim to uplift investors, foster flourishing families, create enduring trust, and contribute to a more beautiful world through our investments, products and services, and new ventures.
Our investments are primarily in real estate, with additional allocations to tech, energy, and alternatives, employing a downside-protected, long-term approach to investing. We are grounded in timeless morals and seek to preserve and grow both investor capital and our own.
The Opportunity
Rex is seeking a Managing Director, Capital Markets to bring new ultra-high-net-worth investor relationships into the Rex ecosystem, with a mandate for $1M+ checks and a white-glove standard of service from first conversation through close. This is a principal-facing role for someone who can open doors that don't currently exist and turn them into durable capital partnerships. You will bring your own preexisting relationships and network of UHNW principals, family offices, and advisors to the table on day one, giving Rex immediate access to capital relationships the firm doesn't currently have. This role is anchored by three core mandates: originate, close, and steward. You will build a proprietary pipeline of UHNW principals, family offices, and their advisors who have not yet invested with Rex, drawing first on your own existing network and relationships, then expanding further through referrals and disciplined outreach rather than inbound. You will convert high-conviction conversations into committed capital across both deal-by-deal multifamily acquisitions and fund-level offerings, matching the right structure to the right investor. And you will deliver a white-glove experience that treats every principal relationship as a long-term partnership, not a transaction, building the trust that turns a first check into a decade of allocations. The ideal candidate brings 10 to 15+ years of experience as a seasoned capital raiser with a proven track record of sourcing and closing UHNW relationships at scale, along with an active, portable network of UHNW principals and family offices built over the course of their career, comfortable operating at the principal level and commanding credibility in rooms where trust is earned, not assumed. They combine polish with hustle: white-glove instincts paired with the grit to originate from zero. Fluency in real estate investment structures, deal-by-deal and fund-level alike, is essential, as is uncompromising discretion in handling sensitive investor relationships. This is not for order-takers managing inbound; it's for someone who builds the book from scratch. Must be missionary to the bone, driven by purpose as well as performance, and uncompromising in stewardship of investor trust. Fully remote.
About the Role
Rex is hiring a Managing Director, Capital Markets to expand its base of principal capital by building original relationships with UHNW investors, family offices, and their advisors, and converting those relationships into committed capital at scale. This person will bring a preexisting book of relationships and an active network to activate immediately, then build on that foundation with new origination over time.
This role owns outcomes across origination, structuring, and long-term stewardship, not just relationship management for an existing book. You will operate as the connective tissue between the investment team, deal structuring, and the principal, translating Rex's investment thesis and track record into conviction for investors who are meeting the firm for the first time.
You will build and run a disciplined outbound sourcing motion, beginning with your own network of UHNW principals and family offices and systematically identifying, engaging, and qualifying new relationships beyond it, rather than relying on inbound. You will match investors to the right vehicle, whether a single deal-by-deal acquisition or a fund-level commitment, and carry conversations from first touch through diligence to a closed, funded commitment. Once closed, you will own the ongoing relationship, ensuring every touchpoint reflects a white-glove standard that turns a first-time investor into a repeat, referring partner.
This is a hands-on, principal-facing role for a senior capital raiser who has built a book from scratch before, brings a live network with them, and wants to do it again inside a platform with real scale and transaction velocity behind it.
Key Responsibilities
Activate your existing network of UHNW principals, family offices, and advisors to generate early capital conversations for Rex.
Build and execute a proprietary origination strategy targeting UHNW principals, single-family offices, and their advisors who have not previously invested with Rex, beyond your existing relationships.
Source new relationships through direct personal networks, warm referrals, and disciplined, high-quality outbound outreach.
Qualify prospective investors on capital capacity, investment appetite, and fit across deal-by-deal and fund-level structures.
Lead first conversations and ongoing dialogue with principals, translating Rex's investment thesis, track record, and current opportunities with clarity and conviction.
Structure and recommend the right investment vehicle for each investor, whether a specific multifamily acquisition or a fund-level commitment.
Drive the full capital-raising cycle for each relationship: outreach, education, diligence support, subscription, and close.
Own $1M+ check relationships personally, maintaining principal-level credibility and discretion throughout.
Deliver a white-glove investor experience at every stage, from first contact through post-close servicing and reporting.
Build long-term partnership plans for each principal relationship, aiming to convert a first commitment into repeat, multi-deal or multi-fund allocations.
Partner closely with acquisitions, asset management, and finance to ensure investors receive accurate, timely, and compelling information.
Track origination activity, pipeline conversion, and relationship health with disciplined CRM and reporting rigor.
Represent Rex at high-caliber investor events, conferences, and networking settings to expand the principal network.
Maintain uncompromising discretion and judgment in handling sensitive investor and financial information.
Ideal Candidate Profile
10-15+ years of experience in capital raising, private wealth, investment banking, or real estate investment management, with a demonstrated track record of sourcing and closing UHNW relationships at scale.
An active, portable network of UHNW principals, family offices, and advisors, with the credibility to bring those relationships into new conversations with Rex.
Proven ability to originate capital relationships from zero, without relying on an existing inbound book or handed-off relationships.
Comfortable operating at the principal level with UHNW individuals, family offices, and their advisors, commanding credibility and trust quickly.
Deep fluency in real estate investment structures, including both deal-by-deal LP equity and fund-level commitments.
Strong grasp of capital structuring, market trends, and investment strategy, able to communicate complex opportunities clearly to sophisticated investors.
White-glove relationship instincts: treats every investor interaction, regardless of size, as a long-term partnership rather than a transaction.
High personal network and demonstrated ability to convert relationships and referrals into committed capital.
Excellent judgment and uncompromising discretion in handling sensitive investor relationships and financial information.
Polished executive presence combined with genuine hustle and a willingness to originate relationships from scratch.
Highly organized, with the discipline to manage a complex, multi-relationship pipeline and report on it with rigor.
Missionary mindset: deeply aligned with Rex's mission and driven by purpose and stewardship of investor trust, not just performance.
