Job Description
Coordinate services related to finances, activities, healthcare, nutrition, household management, and educational/vocational programs.
Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate program coverage.
Assist the supervisor in maintaining consistency in programming, individual supports, and team communication.
Provide guidance, coaching, and support to staff and support team members.
Perform direct support duties during assigned shifts, including personal cares, meal preparation, transportation, and other activities of daily living.
Promote person-centered supports that foster independence, choice, dignity, and positive outcomes.
Assist with household management and help maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained home environment, including general housekeeping and upkeep tasks.
Communicate program, household, medical, behavioral, and staffing needs to supervisors.
Qualifications
Required (Must-Have)
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or one year of lead staff experience, or a two-year degree in a related field.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and provide direct support for extended periods.
Ability to safely transfer, reposition, and assist individuals in accordance with established safety guidelines.
Ability to lift, move, push, pull, and/or assist with lifting up to 50 pounds.
Skills & Abilities
Prior experience in residential services preferred.
Strong organizational, decision-making, communication, and time management skills.
Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills to document services, follow support plans, and collaborate with internal and external team members.
Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and professionalism.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
Ability to support individuals using a person-centered approach that promotes dignity, independence, and choice.
