Plan and implement the Family Self-Sufficiency program by recruiting participants and developing measurable action plans for economic independence. Provide comprehensive case management, financial coaching, and resource connection to help Section 8 and Public Housing residents reach self-sufficiency goals.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Business Administration, or a related human services field with 2-3 years of case management experience. Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License and obtain a HUD-recognized FSS Certification within one year of employment.
TITLE: Grant-Funded Family Self Sufficiency (FSS) Service Coordinator FLSA STATUS: Exempt
DEPARTMENT: Resident Services - UNION STATUS: None
REPORTS TO: FSS Service Coordinator Supervisor STARTING SALARY: $45,920.00
Plan, implement, direct, and evaluate the Program in accordance with HUD and JHA regulations and guidelines. Exercise sounds judgement in recruiting, interviewing, and screening prospective program participants. Develop measurable action plans; and provide counseling and guidance for Section 8 and Public Housing participants to assist in reaching self-sufficiency goals.
Work is principally sedentary. No special physical demands are required. The work involves normal risks or discomforts associated with an office environment. The work area is usually adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Business Administration, or a closely related human services field. Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on case management, social services, or housing program.
Certificate: Obtain a HUD-recognized FSS Certification within one year of employment.
Other: Must be insurable by JHA’s insurance and possess a valid Florida Driver’s License and maintain throughout employment.
