Develop and conduct computer modeling and analysis for transmission planning, including steady state, short circuit, and dynamic stability studies. Perform NERC-compliance technical analyses and manage generator interconnection studies to ensure system requirements are met.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a power systems emphasis and 2-3 years of experience as a power systems engineer. Proficiency in software such as PSS/E, PSCAD, and Python programming is essential.
Develop and conduct computer modeling and analysis for transmission planning studies which include steady state analysis, short circuit analysis, and dynamic stability analysis. Studies may include near-term and long-term transmission planning, generator interconnection studies, reliability-driven transmission project alternatives development, and NERC standards compliance analyses.
Experience leveraging AI and automation tools responsibly to improve quality, productivity and innovation
Location: This position is Remote US/Canada
Travel: Occasional travel may be needed (10% or less)
