Job Summary
The Procurement Specialist for Primoris Energy Services will be responsible for the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services necessary for Primoris Energy Services' operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and project requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Execute end-to-end procurement processes, including requisition review, negotiation, purchase order issuance, and contract management for materials, equipment, and services. Source and pre-qualify new vendors, assessing their capabilities, financial stability, and adherence to quality and safety standards. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules. Collaborate closely with project managers, and other internal stakeholders to understand project needs and specifications. Monitor supplier performance, address any discrepancies or issues, and implement corrective actions as needed. Prepare and analyze procurement reports, identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements. Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement policies, procedures, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Manage procurement documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and vendor records. Participate in strategic sourcing initiatives and contribute to the development of procurement strategies. Resolve disputes and claims with suppliers in a timely and effective manner.
Job Qualifications**
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 3-5 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain roles, preferably within the energy, construction, or heavy industrial sectors. Not required but would be helpful. Proven negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships. Strong understanding of procurement best practices, contract law, and commercial terms and conditions. Proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. High level of integrity and ethical conduct. CPM or other relevant professional certification is a plus.
