Description:
The Director of Healthcare Planning serves as Baptist Health South Florida’s system-wide authority for clinical facility standards and architectural prototype development. This leader owns the creation, governance, and continuous improvement of BHSF’s clinical planning standards library — including room prototypes, departmental templates, medical equipment planning and design criteria that define how every care environment is built across the system. Working in close partnership with clinical, operational, and regulatory stakeholders, the Director ensures BHSF’s physical environments consistently support evidence-based care delivery, patient and staff safety, infection control, and long-term capital performance. Estimated salary range for this position is $151976.25 - $197569.13 / year depending on experience.
Qualifications:
Degrees:

Licenses & Certifications:
Licensed Architect (RA) registered in the State of Florida required. EDAC and/or ACHA board certification strongly preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in architecture and healthcare planning with at least 3 years in a management role overseeing standards or prototype development programs.
Demonstrated expertise in room data sheet development, clinical prototype design, and departmental template creation across acute care, procedural, and ambulatory settings.
Deep command of FGI Guidelines, AHCA regulations, Florida Building Code, ADA, and NFPA 101.
Proven experience facilitating clinical operations validation sessions and translating care delivery models into architectural standards. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and space planning platforms.
