WHO WE ARE:
Teague is an independent design consultancy that combines technology expertise with a deep understanding of human behavior to design what’s next for companies in automotive, commercial aviation, smart cities and infrastructure, advanced mobility, technology, space, and defense. On any given day, we might be prototyping a new space station, designing cutting-edge technology, or traveling around the world conducting research. This year marks the one-hundred-year anniversary of our company and are proudly employee-owned. Our culture fosters collaboration, accountability, and stability—because when we succeed, we all win. Come be a part of something bigger than just a job—build your career with an employee-owned company that invests in you!
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Procurement Agent at Teague, you’ll keep the purchasing process moving from start to finish. You’ll work closely with internal teams, Shipping & Receiving, Accounts Payable, and external vendors to make sure the materials, equipment, supplies, services, and maintenance our teams need are purchased accurately and delivered on time.
This is a hands-on role with ownership across the procurement lifecycle - from processing requisitions and purchase orders to tracking shipments, maintaining inventory and vendor records, matching invoices, and resolving discrepancies. You’ll also build productive vendor relationships and help identify purchasing or inventory risks before they impact our work.
TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS:
No domestic or international travel is expected for this role. Occasional travel to other Teague facilities in the greater Seattle area may be required.
WHO YOU ARE:
You’re organized, detail-oriented, and dependable. You know how to keep multiple requests moving at once without losing track of the details, and you follow through on commitments. You’re comfortable communicating with both internal stakeholders and vendors, and you’re not afraid to dig into a discrepancy or delivery issue to figure out what happened and what needs to happen next.
You bring a practical, solution-oriented approach to your work and can operate independently while staying connected to the teams you support.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
THINKING
Partner with Shipping & Receiving to forecast demand and maintain inventory levels that support project execution.
Evaluate vendor pricing, quality, and service to help ensure Teague receives competitive terms.
Identify and resolve vendor issues, including damaged, delayed, or back-ordered goods.
Investigate and reconcile purchase order and invoice discrepancies with vendors and Accounts Payable.
Gather purchasing and inventory data and prepare reports to support planning and decision-making.
OWNING
Own the end-to-end procurement process, from receiving requisitions through submitting completed documentation to Accounts Payable.
Maintain accurate purchase orders and supporting documentation so information is complete, organized, and easy to access.
Monitor inventory levels for raw stock and materials and proactively flag shortages or supply risks.
Build and maintain productive vendor relationships that support Teague’s standards for quality, pricing, and service.
Serve as a reliable point of contact for vendors and internal stakeholders, providing responsive service and timely follow-through.
DOING
Process online and off-the-shelf purchases for raw stock, equipment, supplies, services, and maintenance
Track orders and shipments and communicate delays or changes to impacted stakeholders.
Maintain accurate vendor information in Teague’s ERP system.
Coordinate with internal customers to procure services and maintenance as needed.
Match invoices and packing slips against purchase orders.
Submit completed procurement documentation to Accounts Payable for payment processing.
WHAT YOU BRING:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2+ years of relevant procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or related experience.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive vendor relationships while providing a high level of customer service.
Comfortable working autonomously as well as collaboratively, with a solution-oriented, analytical approach to problem solving.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to prioritize competing requests.
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail with the ability to compile data and prepare reports.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; working understanding of basic accounting principals and processes.
