How you’ll have an impact at Paula’s Choice: At Paula's Choice, we believe that people are at the heart of everything we do. As a People & Culture Operations Specialist, you'll play a key role in fostering an engaging and inclusive workplace culture, ensuring employees feel connected, valued, and supported.
You'll help cultivate an exceptional employee experience across three fronts: keeping our Seattle office running smoothly, supporting core People & Culture generalist and administrative functions, and driving the community-building efforts that bring our culture to life. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role that touches nearly every part of the employee lifecycle, making it an ideal starting point for someone looking to grow their career in People & Culture. This role is perfect for a proactive, detail-oriented individual who is passionate about employee engagement, workplace culture, and operational excellence.
As a People Operations & Community Specialist, a typical day might include a mix of the following:
Office & Workplace Experience
Manage the Seattle office environment to ensure a welcoming, organized, and productive workplace, including maintaining common areas, coordinating furniture and workspace needs, and supporting a positive visitor experience.
Serve as the primary point of contact for facilities management, office moves, and workspace reconfigurations.

Support workplace health, safety, and security programs by coordinating fire drills, maintaining safety compliance requirements, partnering with building management on emergency procedures, and managing employee access badges.
Oversee office mail, shipping, and deliveries, ensuring the efficient receipt, distribution, and shipment of correspondence, packages, and equipment.
Employee Experience & Culture
Support People & Culture programs and initiatives that enhance employee engagement, well-being, inclusion and belonging, and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
Plan and coordinate employee engagement opportunities, including community volunteer events, team celebrations, recognition programs, and office-based activities.
Partner with leaders and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to strengthen culture, foster collaboration, and improve the employee experience.
Manage employee swag and gifting programs, including new hire welcome kits, service anniversaries, milestone celebrations, recognition initiatives, and company-wide gifts.
Source, order, and distribute swag and gifts while managing vendor relationships, inventory levels, and budget considerations.
Coordinate employee recognition programs, including service anniversaries, birthdays, employee milestones, and appreciation initiatives.
Support the administration and promotion of employee feedback and engagement programs, including pulse surveys and company-wide engagement surveys.
Assist with internal communications that promote company culture, celebrate achievements, and keep employees informed about People & Culture programs and events.

Own team expense management, including vendor coordination, purchase orders, budget tracking, expense reporting, invoice review, and approvals.
Serve as the employee-facing point of contact for questions related to office operations, parking, HR processes, and company programs.
Own the promotion, internal transfer, and offer letter process — drafting documentation, tracking approvals, and ensuring alignment with policy across management and People & Culture.
Own the end-to-end onboarding lifecycle for new hires, from offer acceptance through the first week of employment, ensuring a compliant, engaging, and well-coordinated experience.
Support internal communications by drafting decks, announcements, and newsletters, maintaining People & Culture content on company platforms, and sharing key updates.
Maintain accurate employee records, onboarding checklists, and documentation within confidential People & Culture files and systems.
Manage company LinkedIn posting supporting building our employer value proposition
