Job Title: Payroll Clerk
Job Summary
Payroll Clerk works closely with Supervisors and Managers to ensure accuracy of employee payroll. The position is responsible for monitoring schedules and hours worked and to coordinate resolution of timesheet variances.
Responsibility
Preparation and balancing of bi-weekly payroll and deductions for hourly and salaried employees. Enter quality bonus for production employees.
Monitor schedules and address missing hours.
Communicate regularly with Supervisors and Managers as it relates to timesheets.
Employee payroll deductions and reimbursements.
Process e-transfer transactions of employee premium payments.
Enrollment, contributions and termination of retirement planning program.
Prepare vacation and Stepping Stool accrual entries and processing reports.
Preparation of various reports.
Administration of payroll involving ADP payroll services.
Preparation of payroll-initiated remittances.
Preparation of quarterly Stepping Stool bonuses and lump sum payments.
Responsible for adjusting irregularities in pay.
Academic/Educational Requirements
Successful completion of Secondary School education or equivalent.
Required Skills/Experience
Must possess a minimum of five (5) years’ hands-on experience in accounting field, specifically payroll administration (knowledge of ADP Payroll and Pay Specialist an asset)
Must be proficient in computer applications i.e. Windows, Excel, Word, Access, knowledge of Crystal Reports an asset
Must be able to work overtime and/or Statutory holidays if needed to finalize payroll deadline
Enrollment of certification in Canadian Payroll Association Level 1 considered an asset
Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills – interface with management, production workers, problem solving teams, engineering, inspection, shipping, and maintenance as required.
Maintain confidentiality of all information received from the customer/company.
Must be well organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
Must practice safe work habits (housekeeping, hazard identification).
Must be able to demonstrate multi-tasking skills.
Must adhere to all company policies and practices.

Job Title: Clerk - Payroll
Job Summary
Process bi-weekly payrolls accurately and on time, prepare reports & remittances, respond to employee inquiries, collaborate with HR department, supervisors & management as required.
Responsibility
Enter data from timecards/time sheets daily and work with supervisors to correct any discrepancies.
Maintain up to data information in payroll processing database (LDIM) and ensure employees are allocated to correct product lines.
Process bi-weekly payroll and submit to Central Payroll for processing by required strict deadlines.
Work closely with HR to ensure accuracy of employee information & support information requests for benefit claims.
Process changes in bonus payments (QB/PI) & ensure employee signoffs are completed.
Assist employees with payroll inquiries including paystubs and T4's.
Process expense reports.
Keep detailed records to support audit requests.
Academic/Educational Requirements
Successful completion of Secondary School education or equivalent.
