Full job description
The Intern, Events and Entertainment, supports the day-to-day operations of OSEG’s Events & Entertainment department. This individual will be relied on to provide support in all areas of the events at TD Place from start to finish, including executing announcements, on-sales, assisting in marketing plans, event planning, logistics, and provision of event day support.
Students who wish to participate in an internship opportunity with Ottawa Sports & Entertainment Group must be a part of an accredited post-secondary program where fulfillment of internship credit is required for graduation.
This internship is a full-time position for four (4) months from September 2026 to December 2026.
Candidates must be enrolled in a post-secondary education program offering class credits for the internship placement - this is an unpaid position.
What you’ll do:
Assist in the planning and execution for events such as the Ottawa Christmas Market, Panda game, Colonel By Classic and more.
Conduct ongoing research (tour routing, artist agents, promoters, comparable venues).
Provide administrative support (file organization, meeting minutes, event orders, permit applications, feedback collection).
Assist in developing internal labour estimates.
Support in production advances.
What’s needed:
Enrolled in a post-secondary program related, but not limited, to Event Management, Communication/Marketing, Sports Management, Physical Education, Recreation and Leisure.
Strong work ethic and positive attitude, with the ability and desire to work as part of a multifunctional team.
A proactive nature and ability to adapt.
Highly organized and attentive to detail;
Great written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism.
Demonstrate the values that align with the OSEG Foundation mission.
Exceptional time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
