Their aim is to create a safe, welcoming environment for kids and parents during both Sunday morning services and special programs/events throughout the year. They should excel at connecting with kids, parents, and volunteers, ensuring a great experience for all of our families, new and old. Assist the Children’s Director and Children’s Ministry team to create meaningful experiences for children and families during Sunday services. Create a welcoming, calm, and hospitable environment in the Loop check-in area. Oversee correct implementation of curriculum so that all teaching is executed effectively in the classrooms. Be well-versed in Loop Kids child-safety policies as well as safety and emergency procedures, and be able to uphold and enforce these during weekend services. Communicate with the Loop Kids Admin and/or Facilities team about any supplies or equipment that need to be refilled, repaired, or replaced.

Send communication to the Nursery/Preschool weekend serving team each week to ensure that they are prepared for each Sunday. Become an expert on the MSP software used for scheduling volunteers, and be able to assist and train volunteers on using it as well. Complete the onboarding process of new Nursery/Preschool volunteers by conducting their interview and placing them on the schedule. Add new Loop Kids volunteers to Planning Center as needed. Add new families to desired mailing lists and Planning Center as needed. Send a welcome email to new families after they visit, offering to connect them to any other ministries they might be interested in. Communicate with Service Leads about any changes in procedures or opportunities for improvement, and check in with them regularly for feedback.

Work with the Children’s Director and Admin to recruit, train, and equip both new and current volunteers, making sure they are onboarded to the Children’s Ministry’s culture and values and held to a high standard of excellence and continuous improvement. Work with the Children’s Director to identify key leaders and help create volunteer leadership opportunities based on gifting. Create, plan, and implement early childhood/preschool-specific events and volunteer training events as needed throughout the year at the direction of the Children’s Director.
