We are currently seeking a co-op student to join our EHS team in our Toronto head office. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting environmental, health, and safety initiatives across a diverse portfolio of civil infrastructure projects while contributing to safety training, reporting, compliance, and operational excellence.
What You'll Do Here:
Operational and divisional support and resource for the EHS Team.
Work in conjunction with EHS Advisors to coordinate safety training and orientation.
Work to be ahead of the curve in identifying safety trends and patterns.
Coordinate safety-related meetings and events, including the annual JHSC Summit and regular Senior Leadership Team meetings.
Support startup packages for projects, including all of the appropriate and necessary templates and documentation required for the job.
Assist in the administration of EHS policies, manuals, standards, procedures, practices, and rules.
Order and ship various supplies and resources needed for project site and yard locations.
Assist in site visits and inspections.
Organize, monitor, and manage statistical data and reports, ensuring all EHS personnel have complete instruction and understanding of the requirements and meet reporting deadlines.
Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Team:
Current student or recent graduate of an Occupational Health and Safety program.
Sound computer skills, including MS Excel and MS Word.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Sound judgment, utilizing problem-solving and analytical skills.
Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
Willingness to travel within the GTA as required.
Previous experience in the construction industry is an asset.

The expected pay range for this role is $23 - $28 per hour.
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
